Public Education Programs

The Prevention Division offers a variety of educational activities to inform the public about fire prevention and life safety initiatives. These programs are offered to citizens of all ages. Public Educators are available to present at schools, community events, homeowners associations, etc.

Community Programs

Fire Station Tours

Firefighters guide groups around their “second home.” Station Tours are recommended for ages 4 and up.

A Fire Apparatus can be scheduled to visit any public setting (non-retail), for educational purposes. Firefighters display their equipment and will answer fire related questions. Supervised children can climb aboard to get a first hand look at the fire truck. Please note: We do not accommodate Birthday party request.
